Alzheimer’s Support Groups play a vital role in a caregiver’s well-being. They offer something you can’t find in books or casual conversations—a blend of shared experience, emotional support, and practical knowledge.
These groups create a safe space for caregivers and family members to ask questions, share stories, and exchange advice on everything from disease stages and caregiving strategies to legal matters and local resources.
It’s also a place to simply exhale. Caregivers often feel more comfortable opening up to others who aren’t directly involved—people who truly understand and listen without judgment, because they’ve “been there” too.

Mission Statement (or Statement of Purpose) – The purpose of the Memories Cafe is to provide a regular, safe, and welcoming meeting place for people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia and who are experiencing memory loss. Our aim is to create social opportunities through activities such as music, other creative arts, stories, and entertainment as well as to provide social interaction. We hope to help reduce the feelings of isolation experienced by both our members and their caregivers.
