We recognize the increase in Covid cases throughout our community. Even though the current variant, Omicron BA.5, generally causes less severe disease than infection with prior variants, it does spread more easily. Currently 50 out of the 100 counties in NC are at high risk for Covid infections and the resulting strains on the health care system.
In the spirit of “doing no harm” we recommend a return to wearing masks in large indoor gatherings. This is not mandatory but we invite you to prayerfully consider this recommendation and wear masks during worship.
This Post from epidemiologist Dr. Katelyn Jetelina is a helpful summary of where we are and what to do.
