Loving Our Neighbor

Stock the Shelves Challenge All year long, we collect items for Crisis Assistance Ministry in Gastonia. Each December it is Myers Memorial UMC’s month to stock the shelves! Are you up for a challenge?  Let’s Fully Stock the Shelves by December 1 so that when they open the doors to help those in financial crisis or who are suffering under the continuing burden of poverty, abundance will overflow!  CAM provides food to an average of 500 people monthly! Since we gather at 301 S. New Hope Rd each week to celebrate the abundance of God’s love in our life, can we collect 301 of each of these items before December 1? Bring your food items & monetary gifts to Thanksgiving Worship on November 14th or at any time you can bring them to the Church Office.

Remember: NO corn or green beans as they already have an abundance!!

The program anticipates adding two new additional routes in the South Gastonia area which will provide services to approximately 20 new people.

Volunteers are always needed to deliver noon time meals in Belmont, Bessemer City, Cherryville, Cramerton, Dallas, Gastonia, Lowell, McAdenville, Mt. Holly and Stanley. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity and have an hour available, please call 704-862-7540.
