A 3-day, 2-night, multigenerational journey into justice, kindness, and humility.
What is VBC? 
Vacation Bible Camp!  It’s a refreshed idea for the annual vacation bible school ~ for the whole church!  Family Units, Besties, grandparents/grandchildren, multi-generational groups!
 
When is VBC?
July 17-19, 2026 (Friday night – Sunday morning).  
 
 
What will we do?
Discover and explore the love of Jesus, the creation of God and the movement of the Holy Spirit in a setting that allows for all abilities to engage in Bible Study, Hands on Activities, Fun, Fellowship and Service!
 
Yes, it’s overnight!
The cost is inclusive of 2 nights housing and 5 meals.
Housing Options: Family units will stay as a group, allowing all ages and abilities to participate. Youth are invited to stay together in a duplex Camp Cabin.
 
$150 per person 10+, $50 per child under 9.
Each double queen room sleeps 4 and features a minifridge, microwave, flatscreen TV, and wifi. All rooms have a private bath.
 
$100 per person 10+, $50 per child under 9.
Each duplex has two sides, with each side containing 4 bunkbeds and a single bathroom. Each side sleeps 8.
What does it cost? 
$50 for children 9 years and under
$100 for children 10 years to adults (Cabin)
$150 for children 10 years to adults (Hotel)
Children (birth-5th grades) must be accompanied by a responsible adult to attend VBC.
 
We are very grateful for a contribution to the youth & children’s ministry for use with families which has made this adventure so much more affordable!  The cost is inclusive of 2 nights housing and 5 meals and other programming expenses.
 
Sample Schedule 
Check in at 3p on Friday – check out at 11a on Sunday

Friday: 11am Early Adventure at Zen Tubing; 3pm check in begins; 6pm dinner onsite; 7pm-10pm group time

Saturday 8am Breakfast; 9am-12pm morning projects; 12pm-12:30pm lunch; 12:30pm-3pm Afternoon projects; 3pm-5:30pm Free time on campus; 5:30pm dinner; After dinner: movie & conversation
 
Sunday 6am Morning hike; 8am Breakfast; Worship with communion & sending forth; Checkout by 11am; suggested  free time on your own or in a group in downtown Black Mountain.
Each session focuses on one direction of the compass + one verb from Micah 6:8.  Join us as we use Micah 6:8 as a guide to where we go and what we do as we answer the question: What does the Lord require?

Pre VBC Adventure: Zen Tubing in Asheville
 
On Friday, Pastor Drew will be taking a group early Friday (around lunch) to go tubing on the French Broad River. The cost is $30 per person. We will take the church bus and carpool as needed.  We will then check into Christmount early afterwards.
