Welcome to the Myers Memorial UMC community of faith. … with open hearts, open minds, and open doors!

Our mission is to minister with compassion to the human hurts and hopes of the church family and the community as revealed through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

We are dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel (good news) that Jesus Christ is Lord! We believe that Christ died to defeat the power of sin and death.

We encourage you to accept the salvation and friendship offered to us all in Jesus Christ.

Are you searching for a deeper meaning in your life? Do you know the emptiness of seeking to feed the spirit with false gods and broken promises? Are you facing some difficulty or change that seems overwhelming?

God desires to help you! We affirm that “nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8) Why not answer God’s call to know Him and be known by Him right now? Take a moment to think about your life.

The Bible tells us that while “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3), “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10)

The Bible also tells us that “…God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (John 3:16) What a wonderful promise!
Pray to God Honestly about what you most need and desire deep in your heart. God hears your prayers and wants you to know Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) God is calling you even now.

To invite Christ into your heart, you might pray like this:
Lord I want to know you. I believe in your Son, Jesus. Come into my heart to live. I give myself to you. I accept the healing and salvation you offer me in Christ. I believe he died for me and rose for my sake. Thank you, Lord. Show me the way. AMEN.

If you have sincerely prayed this prayer, you have accepted Christ into your heart! You are saved! We invite and encourage you to worship with us and become part of our fellowship. Please contact our pastor using the information given HERE. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into the Myers Memorial Family.

New to The United Methodist Church?

As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

We all share a faith in Jesus Christ, but The United Methodist Church encourages us to think for ourselves, so we don’t necessarily share the same opinions about every faith issue or social concern. And there are lots of us: 8.5 million United

Methodists live in the U.S., and 1.5 million more worldwide, with the largest growth in membership occurring in Africa and the Philippines.

On April 23, 1968, The United Methodist Church was created when Bishop Reuben H. Mueller, representing The Evangelical United Brethren Church, and Bishop Lloyd C. Wicke of The Methodist Church joined hands at the constituting General Conference in Dallas, Texas. With the words, "Lord of the Church, we are united in Thee, in Thy Church and now in The United Methodist Church," the new denomination was given birth by two churches that had distinguished histories and influential ministries in various parts of the world.

Theological traditions steeped in the Protestant Reformation and Wesleyanism, similar ecclesiastical structures, and relationships that dated back almost two hundred years facilitated the union. In the Evangelical United Brethren heritage, for example, Philip William Otterbein, the principal founder of the United Brethren in Christ, assisted in the ordination of Francis Asbury to the superintendency of American Methodist work. Jacob Albright, through whose religious experience and leadership the Evangelical Association was begun, was nurtured in a Methodist class meeting following his conversion.
