Cost: $280.00 (Scholarships available: see Connie) You may send
your payments for the trip as possible, but all final payments are due by June 21
(as our final payments are due 30 days prior to our trip):

FYI: The actual cost for the trip to TEAMeffort is $369.00. This includes
lodging in dorms at Western Carolina Univ., programs, meals, work site supplies,
etc. The TEAMeffort price for this mission trip is more this year has it does
include Thursday meals and an Indian Cultural experience on Thursday night. In
the past our youth have had to pay for several extra meals on Thursday, etc . . .
BUT we are using our fundraiser monies and donations to supplement the cost of this
awesome experience for our youth…therefore; we hope our youth will continue to assist
with our fundraisers such as the pumpkin patch and others.
Extra Expenses:
***Money will also be needed for supper on Sunday and supper on Friday.
***Also remember money for snack stops, misc. expenses, etc.
***We MAY go to a movie one evening (a mission trip tradition)
*** Friday we have a free day for either Tubing, Canoeing, Horseback Riding or
Rafting...$ needed according to the activity you choose:
Horseback Riding: approx. $25.00-$30.00
Rafting on the Nantahala: $37.00 including lunch
Canoeing on Lake Linville: $35.00 including lunch
Guided Hiking: $23.00 including lunch
WHAT TO BRING:
- Clothes for 4 mission work days and appropriate work shoes or boots
(you do not have to wear long pants to the work sites, but no short shorts
or spaghetti strap shirts)
- Work gloves, Water bottle w/your name on it; and a hat
- Modest shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes for games, etc for evening sessions and worship
- sleeping bag or twin size sheets; pillow, toiletries, bath towels, shower shoes
- Bathing Suit and Pool Towel , plus shoes for water rafting
- Sunscreen; flashlight; insect repellent
- Bible: TEAMeffort will have a theme scripture for the week-
- Spending monies-listed w/ cost info on other sheet
- ****White trash bag w/ your name on it for your dirty clothes
Typical Schedule for the Cherokee Mission Week:
Sunday: Registration begins at 6:00 pm. Orientations, music & program.
Monday: Work on the mission projects. Cookout. Evening music & program.
Tuesday: Work on the mission projects. Sports & games night.
Evening music & program.
Wednesday: Work on the mission projects. Evening music & program.
Thursday: Work on the mission projects until lunch. Free afternoon.
Native American dinner & cultural experience.
Friday: Free day. Evening closing worship service by
TEAMeffort staff.
