Overview of our Ministries

Pre-Teens for Christ

Pre-Teens for Christ or better known as PFC, is for 5th and 6th graders, and is a pre-curser to the United Methodist Youth. It is intended to be a great way for 5th or 6th graders to make closer friends at church, participate in missions and service projects, enjoy fun activities with older children in a safe and positive environment and enhance his or her relationship with God.

Childrens Activities

Nurtures the faith of children and families which include Nursery, Children’s Church, Bibles for 3rd graders, Children’s Council events such as a Children’s Easter Party, “Trunk or Treat” & a Christmas Party.  It also provides Family Ministry events that include children such as Homecoming and the Family Retreat at Camp Tekoa in the spring.

Kids Day Out (KDO)

Nurtures Christian values in our young children as they gain basic skills for Kindergarten. KDO has a variety of classes for children ages 6 months through 4 year olds.

Sunday School Classes

Sunday School classes offered for children from three year olds on up, with nursery offered for infants through two year olds. Children are using a curriculum that encourages each child to “Live You Belief in God”. This material is solidly based on the Bible with three main focuses of:

1

Teaching Invitationally … teaching in such a way that children are invited to respond to Jesus’ call to follow Him.

2

Making disciples … teaching such that all ages are challenged and equipped to live as Christian disciples wherever they are

3

Teaching for commitment … teaching so children can make such life sustaining commitments to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord that they are able to live the abundant and everlasting life.
